There's nothing here except my map DM-Benighted This is my second or third semi-serious attempt at producing an Unreal Tournament level, and the first I'm prepared to show in public... This is version 1.01, updated 26 Feb 2002. I've played around a bit with the bot pathing and item placement, and changed some of the lighting.
It's intended for between 4 and 10 players.
The whole level was driven by trying to produce a context for the inverted-vee doors that appear in the UTCrypt texture set. There aren't many vertical lines in the map - the idea was to have most of the walls sloping in to create a slightly claustrophobic atmosphere, even in the larger areas. In a few places they slope outwards instead.
I had a lot of problems with BSP errors, most of it related to the sloping walls and the design of the hanging 'lava-lamps'. In the end I changed the lamp design a bit and most of the BSP errors went away. Most of the rest I got rid of by fiddling with the build parameters.
I also found it hard trying to interest the bots in the side of the map away from the big hall, so there was a lot of fiddling about with spawn points and item placement. At the same time I was trying to make sure that all the really nice goodies carried a cost in terms of time, effort or exposure to danger. There are a number of things for which you really need either jump boots or a translocator, so since I usually play without translocators the map includes three sets of jump boots in various places.
And yes, there's a secret. It's not hard to find by accident.
Anyway, here are some screenshots:
